New to Autism diagnosis? Why not join this parent/carer training course.

This five week training course is aimed at parents/carers of children aged 3-11 who are new to a diagnosis and will focus on how you can better understand and support your child when considering the many different aspects of Autism. The course is open to two members of the family and you will need to sign up to all five sessions. Refreshments will not be provided but there is an onsite café, or you are welcome to bring your own.

Here is a breakdown of the topic for each week:

Week 1: Diagnosis Journey

Week 2: What is Autism?

Week 3: Sensory Needs

Week 4: Communication

Week 5: Behaviour & Local Support

Date: Saturdays 12th, 19th, 26th November, 3rd & 10th December 2022

Time: 10.00am - 1.00pm (9.45am arrival for prompt start)

Venue: The Rufus Centre, Steppingley Road, Flitwick, Bedford MK45 1AH

Cost: £15 per person (maximum 2 people per household)
