Support LB Mencap this #GivingTuesday

Today is known as #GivingTuesday. After all the frenzied consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, today is an international day of giving, a reminder of the value of giving back and making a difference to charitable causes.

There are many ways that you can support us here at LB Mencap.

How about recommending one of our groups or activities to your friends, or offering to come along to one with someone who is a bit unsure?

Why not get in touch about amazing volunteering opportunities? With groups running for all ages and at various times/days of the week, there is sure to be something to suit what you'd like to offer.

You could organise a fundraiser in our name, which would certainly boost our 50th anniversary celebrations. Think cake stall, sponsored swim, car boot sale or dance-a-thon.

Or if you'd like, you can make a one-off donation to our #JustGiving page which will help to support every single one of our members and their families through our groups, activities and trips.

And don't forget about our Opportunity Group relaunch in the new year - ideas, suggestions, hands on help and donations would all be so appreciated to get the group running exactly as you would like it to. Our naming competition is still running until Sunday 15th December.
