Spectrum Community Arts are ZOOMing into your living room

We are very excited to announce that our friends over at Spectrum Community Arts are offering some super sessions online!

These sessions will take place using a platform called ZOOM. For those who aren't familiar with the programme, it is a free app you can download onto any device that has access to the internet and a camera. It allows up to 100 people to all share video and audio at the same time, a bit like a big group 'Facetime'!

The online, ZOOM timetable below will stay the same each week, which will hopefully help you to build some structure to your days and weeks during this period.

Everyone is welcome to join any session. As always, sessions will be adapted as best is possible to make it accessible to the faces and bodies Jade sees on the screen in front of her.

Sensory Movement sessions

Date: Mondays 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th April 2020

Location: Online via ZOOM

Time: 2.30pm - 3.00pm

A visual timetable will be sent out via email and posted on Spectrum's social media informing of the order of the props you will use in the session. They will also suggest alternatives to use as sensory props. Sessions will consist of a warm-up and then a series of 'follow-along' routines that help stimulate the vestibular and propreoceptive senses. Move, groove and shake to start your week with a flare of energy and fun!

Dance Routine sessions

Date: Wednesdays 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th April 2020

Location: Online via ZOOM

Time: 2.30pm - 3.00pm

You will work on learning a routine over two sessions. All sessions will have a warm-up and cool down too. Learn routines to practice at home and have fun with friends!

Interactive Storytelling sessions

Date: Fridays 10th, 17th, 24th April and 1st May 2020

Location: Online via ZOOM

Time: 2.30pm - 3.00pm

Jade will be telling a short story each time. Help bring the narrative to life by using your face, voice and body. If there is time you may sing a song or play a game following the theme of the story. At the end of each session Jade will suggest some extension activities for you to do with varying levels of difficulty based on the your needs.

There will be a small fee for these sessions:

Individual session: only £3 per session as a one off

Individual Class Pass: £10 if you'd like to book a block of 4 weeks of one session

Whole Class Pass: £30 if you'd like to book a block 4 weeks for all three sessions

You can book via THIS LINK, which will take you to a registration form. Once completed, you'll be added to the database and you'll receive an email requesting payment.

Spectrum will continue to share weekly 'dance along at home' videos onto their YouTube channel so keep an eye out for those to watch at your leisure and convenience.
