Fundraising, Friends Within style

On Sunday 30th June, Friends Within members travelled to Stadium MK to take part in the Charity Walk for Peace, arranged by the Muslim Elders Society and supported by the MK Don's Sport and Education Trust (MK Dons SET).

Our members walked from the Stadium to Caldecotte Lake as a team, supporting one another along the way. The weather was hot and we looked after ourselves by drinking lots of water and following sun safety information.

We then had Biriani for lunch provided by the Elders Society. We were made to feel like superstars for the day! Raising £1,007 was just a small detail for the team as we learnt a lot about our abilities.

All good teamwork deserves a treat... a minibus trip to find McDonald's milkshakes!
