Celebrate Volunteers' Weeks 2018 and come and volunteer with us

Leighton Buzzard Mencap is run entirely on the generosity of so many wonderful volunteers. All our groups and activities are only possible because of the effort put in by these very special people.

We are always looking for new volunteers to help out with our different groups, and also to support the charity with special skills like IT, project resources, contacts, venues or general admin.

Volunteering can teach you a new skill or develop one that you already have. Volunteering with us will help you to connect with your community and those in need in your immediate area. You will learn what your community needs and help to find ways to meet those needs. You may meet new friends in the process.

Volunteering can help you with future employment and enhancing your CV. Employers like to see that you are a volunteer because it means that you are willing to work, have compassion, and are a team player.

By volunteering you can set a good example for those around you. One person can make a difference, but when that difference is multiplied, it can be life changing.
